Happy Homemaker Monday

*Quick note - yes, I'm trying to move my blog to my website again. Please bear with me, sisters!

It's been another week of ups and downs. I might be crazy, but I thought life used to have looooooong stretches of good times? I'm sure a lot of that has to do with social media/news. The world has been on fire for so many years now, it's beginning to feel like its natural state. And that scares me. I feel now, more than ever before, that I couldn't imagine facing a single day without my faith. I wouldn't want to. And no matter what comes my way, knowing that I have Jesus outweighs it all.

The weather.....

MONDAY: 26 & cloudy

TUESDAY: 35 & cloudy

WEDNESDAY: 31 & chance of snow

THURSDAY: 30 & cloudy

FRIDAY: 39 & mostly sunny

SATURDAY: 45 & rain/snow mix

SUNDAY: 25 & cloudy

Right now I am....

It's Sunday night, and I'm about to get ready for bed. Or try anyway - I haven't been able to sleep much the past 4 nights. My mind just keeps racing.

Thinking....

Thinking about starting the 40/40 challenge this week!

Wearing....

Black jeans and a black Kuromi t-shirt

On my reading pile....

  • Reading & enjoying a chapter a day of War & Peace! I've made it further than last time I tried! Woohoo

  • Reading the Yada Yada series when I can on my lunch break

On my TV.....

YouTube

I watched the PBS War and Peace (again!)

Some junkie t.v.

Looking forward to this week....

Starting the 40/40 challenge. It will be hard for me with Detroit weather and my knees, but I can do it and I am looking forward to all that time alone with just me and Jesus!

Looking around the house....

I don't even want to talk about it.

On my prayer list.....

  • A good friend of the family (he worked for my Dad for 30 years and we went to HS together) has a mass in his brain. He's having surgery soon. Praying it isn't cancer.

  • Continued prayers for my stb brother-in-law recovering from his strokes

  • Continued recovery of my friend's mom. Her foot was nearly amputated in a fall at 86 - and she is kicking butt!

  • A young man (25) who went missing in my area. His family has put out search parties. I pray they find him alive. (He had a previous brain injury from a car accident, so it's possible he's been confused?)

  • This dark, evil world we live in & praying we do not enter into a war or "conflict" with the Middle East (I've been trying to not pay attention)

Bible verse, Devotional....
